Which COVID-19 vaccines have been approved for additional boosters?
  • Both the Pfizer and Moderna vaccines are approved for boosters
  • It does not matter if you were previously vaccinated with Pfizer, Moderna, or another type of COVID-19 vaccine
Who can get a booster?
  • Everyone 5 years old and older should get 1 booster after completing the COVID-19 vaccine primary series, if eligible.
  • Adults 50 years and older and some people age 12 years and older who are moderately or severely immunocompromised should get 2 boosters.
